The air ambulance was deployed after two men were assaulted in broad daylight on a Bradford street.
The incident took place on Sandford Road, off Barkerend Road, in the Bradford Moor area on Wednesday (3 October) afternoon.
A collision took place, in which two pedestrians were injured, and the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
Police say it was further reported that one or both of the men had also been assaulted by the occupants of the vehicle.
Both men were taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing.
