    New average speed cameras are being installed on Harrogate Road in Bradford to improve safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

    New average speed cameras are being installed on Harrogate Road in Bradford as part of efforts to improve road safety.

    Bradford Council says the new system will monitor the average speed of vehicles over a section of the road, helping ensure drivers remain within the speed limit.

    The cameras form part of wider safety improvements designed to reduce speeding and protect everyone using the road, including motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

    Harrogate Road is one of the district’s busiest routes and has seen a number of collisions in recent years. Officials say the new technology will help encourage safer driving behaviour and reduce the risk of serious accidents.

    The council says the scheme supports its broader commitment to improving road safety across the district and creating safer streets for all road users.
