Refugees and asylum seekers shared their stories at an event in Bradford.
People who had been welcomed to Bradford, fleeing from many of the world’s war-torn areas – such as Syria, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo – were invited to the Faiths in Action showcase to deliver speeches on how the city has untied to help them.
As a City of Sanctuary, Bradford has a long history of welcoming those strangers who are most in need.
The event, held at Bradford’s Faith Centre in Oakwood Court on Saturday, 15 July, aimed to show how both faith and non-faith groups have joined forces to help assist others, in the hope that more people will join.
