A 17-year-old youth suffers wounds to his chest and arm.
At about 6.40pm on Sunday, police were called by the ambulance service to a report of a male with stab wounds at a house in Row Street in Crossland Moor.
Officers attended and found the 17-year-old male had suffered wounds to his chest and arm.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Detective Constable Paul Morrison, of Kirklees CID, said:
"It is possible this is linked to a call police received almost immediately before about a group of men with knives in the Mill Street area, and I would ask anyone who has any information about these men or who saw anything suspicious to contact Kirklees District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13160186290."
Calls can also be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
