Residents have saved a play area in a Bradford park through a petition.
A public outcry was sparked after it was revealed one of two play areas in Peel Park was to be removed as it was built on boggy ground.
One protest saw park users creating a human chain around the play area and work on removing the play equipment was paused.
Over 600 people signed a petition calling for the play area to be retained, and that petition was discussed by members of the Bradford East Area Committee who agreed the park should keep two, though one is not ideally located.
