Over 100 vehicles seized in Bradford operation

An operation targeting criminals using the roads in Bradford South resulted in more than 100 vehicles being seized.

The operation also saw 29 people arrested for a range of offences.

A total of £8,000 in cash was seized as it was believed to have been obtained through illegal means.

A total of 108 vehicles were taken off the roads during the operation, which ran between 25 February and 17 March.

Inspector Shelley Slarke, who leads the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This operation was aimed at those who think they can drive around Bradford in vehicles without taxing or insuring them, as well as those who use the roads to commit crime.

“Criminals should be warned that more of these operations will follow, as we are committed to making Bradford safer for all.”
