A village bridge in West Yorkshire is to be moved 25m to help reduce flooding.
Caldene Bridge in Mytholmroyd, will be moved upstream so that the river can be widened. If EU funding goes ahead, work could start later this month and would be expected to end by October 2019 at a cost of £1.6m.
The authority has also applied for funding for other additional measures to further reduce the flood risk including new wet woodlands, grasslands and aquatic habitats along the Calder Valley.
