Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Radcliffe.
Shortly before 7.30am on Wednesday 15 August, Greater Manchester Police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed inside the Premier shop on Ainsworth Road in Radcliffe.
Officers attended and a man believed to be in his 40s was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries.
An immediate area search was carried out and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Chief Inspector Phil Spurgeon, of GMP’s Bury borough, said: “An innocent man’s life has been cruelly taken away and we have specialist officers supporting his family at this unimaginably difficult time.
“My thoughts are with this man’s family and we are determined to get them some answers.
“Although we have one man in custody, our investigation is in its very early stages and I would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it might be, to please get in touch as soon as possible.”
