Morrisons donate gifts to children in care

Bradford Council’s Children in Care service has received a generous donation from Morrisons supermarket to help bring some festive fun to children in care this Christmas.

The Thornbury store has kindly given the service dozens of selection boxes, mince pies, chocolates and other festive treats which means many children will get an extra present this Christmas.

Irfan Alam, Deputy Director of Children’s Social Care, said: “This wonderful gesture from Morrisons will contribute to the hampers we have put together for some of our children.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Morrisons Thornbury from all of us at Bradford Council. This will help bring smiles to the faces of many children in care.”

Councillor Adrian Farley, Portfolio Holder for Children and Families said: “This gesture from Morrisons exemplifies the kindness of residents, businesses, and community groups that has come to the fore across Bradford District during this most difficult of years. To see people come together to support those less fortunate in our community is heart-warming.”
