Men held in their home as they are robbed

A man and his friends were held in a house as robbers ransacked the home in Greater Manchester.

Sometime between late on Friday 14 July and the early hours of Saturday 15 July, a man in his fifties was with his friends in his kitchen on Aylesbury Avenue, in Gorton, when three unknown men came through the back door, all wearing dark clothing.

One of the men was holding a full-length axe and another was wielding a crow bar.

The friends were told to get onto the floor by the offenders and to keep their heads down while the homeowner was threatened and repeatedly asked where his money was.

He was then hit to the left knee with the axe and one of his friends was hit on the head.

All three offenders fled empty handed after rummaging through the house, disturbing the man’s late mother’s belongings.
