Police are appealing for witnesses after a 24-year-old man was left with life threatening injuries after a collision in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Shortly before 1.40pm on Monday 17 April 2017, police were called to reports of a collision involving a Kawasaki ER650 motorcycle on Kings Road at the junction with Weymouth Road.
Officers attended and discovered that the motorcycle had collided with the kerb and both the motorcycle and rider had collided with a wall, leaving him with serious head injuries.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Police Constable Paul Shore, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and we still need to establish exactly what has happened here. I urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or perhaps saw the motorcycle travelling in the build-up to the collision, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
