A gang of young robbers who terrorised a community in Heywood, Greater Manchester, have been jailed.
The five criminals, aged from 18 to 24, were responsible for a spree of crimes including threatening a service station cashier with a machete, intimidating a taxi driver with an imitation gun and stealing thousands of pounds of charity cash from a Baptist minister.
Curtis Beresford, Carl Lee, Jordan Thompson, Dylan Moore and Warren Taylor, all of Heywood, were sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court for various offences including attempted robbery, burglary and possession of an imitation firearm, with jail terms ranging from two years and four months to six years and six months.
