The first new river crossing in Wakefield for more than 100 years has been officially opened.
Work started on the £33m Wakefield Eastern Relief Road in April 2015. It now stretches for 4.6 miles and provides a crossing over the River Calder.
Wakefield Council hopes the road will ease congestion and pollution levels within the city.
A development of 2,500 homes east of the city centre is also planned to be built around the new road.
