Bradford traffic operation to take place over Eid

A traffic operation is to be carried out in Bradford West over Eid.

Bradford Council said police will be targeting all kinds of dangerous driving, including speeding, drink/drug driving, mobile phone use and not wearing seatbelts.

Council Wardens will also be patrolling the area and any vehicles parked illegally will be issued with a fixed penalty notice.

Chief Inspector Marc Adams of Bradford District Police said: “Following the positive feedback from residents and councillors after Operation Spittlemoor, we have decided to continue our focus on dangerous driving in Bradford West. By doing so we hope that residents are able to celebrate Eid in a safe environment.

"Anyone who drives at excessive speeds, use a mobile device whilst driving, drives in an anti-social, careless or dangerous manner is likely to face fines, penalty points and risk having their vehicles seized.

“We have to do all we can to reduce the number of road collisions and casualties.”
