Appeal After Man Dies In Rochdale

Police are appealing for information after a man died in Rochdale.

Shortly after 2.30am on Wednesday 3 August 2016, police were called to Roch Valley Way, Bamford, to reports of an unconscious man.

Emergency services attended and discovered a man with head injuries who was suffering a cardiac arrest. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death, which is being treated as unexplained. Formal ID has not yet taken place.

Detective Inspector Andy Butterworth, of GMP’s Rochdale borough, said: “We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances that led to this man’s death.

“We would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or seen anything that can help us establish how this man died to come forward.
