Newsroom Specials
Friday, 17 May 2019 - 5 minutes
Parting money for a car has been revealed to produce stress levels far higher than the recommended average level.
The new study devised by Confused.com, measured levels of cortisol – the stress hormone – of participants in anxiety-inducing scenarios. It showed those who visit a car dealership have stress levels at more than double the recommended level, akin to cortisol peaks seen in those who watch their team play a big match or those doing an important work presentation.
We were joined by Amanda Stretton, Motoring Editor at Confused.com, who provided her tips on easing the nation’s anxiety on how to negotiate a good car deal.
