Yarnold to consider skeleton future

Britain’s Lizzy Yarnold has said she will consider whether to remain completing as a skeleton athlete.

The 29-year-old retained the Olympic gold at Pyeongchang following a thrilling competition on Saturday 17 February, which also saw fellow compatriot Laura Deas, 29, take bronze.

Asked about her future on Sunday, Yarnold said: "I need to get over my chest infection first. I'll take a break and get back to you.”

She is now Britain’s most decorated Winter Olympics athlete, overtaking figure skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Jeanette Altwegg.
