Sergio Garcia won the Masters yesterday in a thrilling play-off.
The 37-year-old golfer successfully beat England’s Justin Rose yesterday (9 April 2017) to become the fifth Spaniard to secure the title, the first major tournament of the season.
Both players finished with nine under par after 72 holes, requiring a sudden death play-off on the 18th. Rose came up short, only managing a bogey. Garcia clinched victory with an assured birdie.
