The Manchester United defender has been released from the England squad after sustaining an injury in training.
As a result the 25 year old will miss the friendly match against Germany this evening and the World Cup Qualifier against Lithuania on Sunday.
Club officials have confirmed Jones has returned to United for treatment on the unspecified injury.
