Pakistan produced a comprehensive performance to thrash fierce rivals India in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval yesterday, 18 June.
The newly-crowned champions were beat by their opponents in their first game of the tournament but steadily improved match-by-match to climax with a dominant display in the final.
India started the match as favourites, with Pakistan entering the competition ranked 8th in the world, the lowest ranking team at the tournament.
But they proved too much for India in the baking London sunshine.
Fakhar Zaman hit a spectacular century to propel Pakistan to 338-4, before Mohammad Amir tore through the India top order to help reduce the defending champions to 54-5.
India eventually limped to 158, Pakistan winning by 180 runs to take their first global 50-over title since 1992.
