Oumar Niasse in first Premier League dive charge

Oumar Niasse has become the first player in the Premier League to be charged with the "successful deception of a match official" since new rules came in at the start of the season.

The Football Association introduced the new laws in May, allowing players to be charged after a game for simulation.

The Everton striker won a controversial penalty, after minimal contact from Scott Dann, in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, with Leighton Baines scoring the penalty.

Niasse, 27, went on to score the equaliser at Selhurst Park.

The Senegal International could face a two-match suspension.
