Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been charged over comments he made in Portuguese to a television camera during his side’s match against Newcastle United.
The Football Association used a lip reader and the 55-year-old's remarks were interpreted as offensive.
It is claimed he used "abusive, insulting or improper language" after the 3-2 comeback victory for United at Old Trafford on 6 October.
After the game Mourinho claimed there was a media “manhunt” against him.
He has until 6.00pm on Friday to respond to the charge.
