British number one Johanna Konta has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open.
The 27-year-old, ranked 46th in the world, had progressed to the second round after beating Germany’s Laura Siegemund.
She was due to face Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro on Tuesday at New Haven, in the final warm-up event before the US Open, but pulled out due to a viral illness.
The US Open starts on 27 August.
