Everton are expected to confirm that they have signed Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea.
The Iceland international is to join the Toffees on what is a club record of £45m.
The previous record was for Romelu Lukaku, who the Merseyside club signed for £31.8m from Chelsea in 2014. The Belgian left to join Manchester United in July for £75m.
Everton have had a busy transfer window this summer, re-signing Wayne Rooney from Manchester United and spending a potential £30m each on centre-back Michael Keane and goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
They have also signed midfielder Davy Klaassen for £23.6m and striker Sandro Ramirez for £5.2m.
The future of Ross Barkley still remains unclear. He has been linked with Tottenham and has refused to resign with Everton but is currently injured with a suspected hamstring.
