Andy Murray has crashed out of Wimbledon in the quarter-finals.
The defending champion was knocked out in five sets by Sam Querry.
The big-serving American won 3-6 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 6-1 6-1.
Querry, 29, is the first American man to reach a Grand Slam semi-final since Andy Roddick at Wimbledon in 2009.
Murray, 30, looked on course to progress to the semis, leading by a set and a break. He then struggled physically with a lingering hip injury – losing 12 of the last 14 games.
British tennis fans can find some comfort in the Scotsman remaining world number one, due to an injury to Novak Djokovic.
The 30-year-old Serbian pulled out in the second set of his quarter-final against Tomas Berdych with an elbow injury.
