Four creative writing workshops for children will be held during the February half-term holidays in Bradford Libraries.
The free Explore Learning workshops have been designed to engage children to be fearless learners with a fun and inspiring hour-long creative writing workshop in the library environment.
The workshops will be held on Wednesday 20 February and Thursday 21 February – taking place in City Library, Manningham, Heaton and Allerton.
On Wednesday, 20 February the workshops will be at:
- City Library, 12pm to 1pm with a workshop called "Put A Spring In Your Step" - designed to focus on predicting what happens next.
- Manningham Library from 2pm to 3pm called "Fun With Phonics" - exploring the world of rhyming words.
On Thursday, 21 February the workshops will be at:
- Heaton Hub Community Library at 12pm to 1pm with "Journey To The King's Throne" - Children travel back to medieval times and joust their way through grammar tournaments.
- Cafe West Allerton Library at 2pm to 3pm will host "Winter Wonderland" - Children will journey through the woodland in winter time, meeting some very opinionated animals in the form of a hedgehog and a reindeer. Can they stop any arguments forming by helping them understand the difference between facts and someone’s opinion?
