WESTMINSTER TERROR ATTACK

A number of community leaders have spoken out following the horrific attack in Westminster yesterday.

The Attack claimed the lives of four people and left many more in hospital in a critical condition, Police officials have confirmed they have made seven arrests in raids carried out in London and Birmingham.

The Imam of Leeds Makkah Mosque, Qari Asim, MBE said:

"The terrorist attack was designed to maximise casualties and create terror and chaos at the very heart of the capital and at the home of British democracy.
We must be clear that those who take innocent lives are not following the teachings of any religion and have no regard for any religion or humanity.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives at Westminster and express full solidarity with the victims of the terror attack. I convey my sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives."

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community strongly condemns the barbaric attacks that took place in Westminster.

Our sympathies and prayers are with the people of London and all those affected. Such attacks and violence against innocent people can never be justified under any circumstances.

The Worldwide Head and Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who resides in the UK has said regarding terrorism and extremism:

“All forms of terrorism and extremism are completely against the true teachings of Islam. The Holy Quran has said that to kill even one innocent person is akin to killing all of mankind. Thus under no circumstances can murder ever be justified and those who seek to justify their hateful acts in the name of Islam are serving only to defame it in the worst possible way.”
