The University of Bradford has been officially recognised for its work with refugees and asylum seekers.
The “University of Sanctuary” title was awarded to Bradford, becoming one of the first universities in the UK to receive the honour.
The award recognises the university’s inclusive work, which includes Sanctuary Scholarships that help people who are seeking asylum, or those already granted refugee status, who cannot access student finance to pay student fees.
