Two arrests have been made in connection with a machete attack in Manchester city centre.
At around 10.10pm on Friday 16 March, police were called to reports that a man in his 30s had been assaulted outside Barca bar in Catalan Square.
He remains in hospital for treatment for life-changing injuries.
Officers have arrested a 26-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman on suspicion of assault.
Detective Inspector Mark Davis of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “While our team of dedicated detectives continue with enquiries, the victim is still receiving treatment for his serious injuries.
“We need to know who is responsible for this and may only be able to do so with your help so I’m appealing for any information from the public that may help us.”
