Three jailed over gun crime in Salford

Three men have been jailed after a police operation to target gun crime in Salford.

Grzegorz Marciniak, 39, of Deacons Drive in Salford, pleaded guilty to three firearms offences, two counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs and conspiracy to supply cannabis and amphetamine. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison.

Rajfar Marcin, 36, of Knutsford Street in Salford, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cannabis and amphetamine. He was sentenced to five years and four months in prison.

They were both sentenced yesterday, Monday 7 August 2017 at Manchester Crown Court.

Pawel Strazalkowski, 36, pleaded guilty to possession of a false identity document with improper intention and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He was sentenced on 16 March 2017 and received four years and six months in prison.

On Sunday 11 September 2016, police executed a warrant at a property on Knutsford Street in Salford, as part of an investigation to target organised crime and drug dealing in Salford, as part of Project Gulf.

During the search police seized a firearm, a silencer and ammunition wrapped in a towel in the kitchen, a large quantity of cannabis, amphetamine and a whole cannabis farm.

The men were remanded into custody and later charged.
