Plans have moved forward for Yorkshire to have an elected mayor.
A coalition of councils, named One Yorkshire, presented their case for devolution to Local Government Secretary Sajid Javid at a meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group. Mr Javid stated the government would not stand in the way of a region-wide devolution deal.
