The creation of a landmark new park in Leeds city centre is set to move a step closer.

A request to approve the plans for the first phase of a new park to be located on land by the former Tetley Brewery site in South Bank Leeds is to be considered by the council’s executive board at a meeting today, 7 February.

The new park forms a centrepiece of South Bank Leeds, which the council says aims to effectively double the size and economic impact of Leeds city centre and is one of the largest regeneration schemes of its type in Europe.
