Police have launched a murder enquiry after a man was assaulted on Commercial Street, Halifax on Saturday 11th November 2017.
Mohammed Faisal, 32, was assaulted shortly before midnight outside the McFly’s bar. He was treated by paramedics and taken to Leeds General Infirmary. He died on Monday 4 December.
Leading the investigation Detective Chief Inspector Glen Alderson of the Protective Services (Crime) Department said: “We have previously released CCTV images of people we wanted to trace in connection with this incident and have traced all of those people. However, I still want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened but who hasn’t yet come forward with information.”
A 30-year-old man who was arrested previously on suspicion of the assault is still being held on suspicion of murder, pending further enquiries.
