A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after coming off her motorbike in Trafford.
At about 7.30pm on Sunday 12 March 2017, a red Honda motorbike was travelling along Crofts Bank Road in Urmston, and when it reached the junction of Canterbury Road, a White Vauxhall Zafira started to pull out of the junction. The motorcyclist lost control of the bike and both crossed onto the opposite side of the road, where the rider came off the bike.
The rider, a 20-year-old woman, was taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
Police have launched an investigation to establish what happened.
Police Constable Paul Hailwood of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said “My thoughts are with the woman’s family at this difficult time. We have launched an investigation to establish exactly what happened and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone who saw the red motorbike shortly before, to get in touch with police.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
