A man has been charged with a catalogue of driving offences after a woman died in a collision in Ardwick.
Sabastine Aundy Anderson, 34, of no fixed abode, has received charges including causing death by careless driving whilst over the prescribed limit and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Shortly before 8.10pm on Saturday 10 February police were called to Hyde Road (A57) to reports of two cars being involved in a collision.
A black VW Golf was travelling towards Hyde when it collided with a grey Nissan Micra travelling in the opposite direction.
The passenger of the Micra, a woman who has since been formally identified as 73-year-old Pamela Richards, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the Micra, a man in his 70s, remains in hospital in a serious condition.
