Leeds is set to be bathed in blue at night.

A public consultation has ended with support to convert 86,000 of the city’s 92,000 streetlights to energy-efficient LED "blue light" lanterns.

It will come at a potential £25m cost, though Leeds City Council estimates that if all lights were converted up to £2.5m could be saved every year.

The plans will now be put to the council's executive board in September.
