A printing premises in Leeds that was put out of business by the 2015 Boxing Day floods has been reborn as a thriving business centre.
With the support of Leeds City Council and grant funding from Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the owner of Duffield Printers in Kirkstall, Martyn Duffield, has invested over £1m in redeveloping Airedale House.
Martyn was on his way to Australia when Storm Eva hit Leeds on the evening of Boxing Day, 2015. He watched on television monitors in Abu Dhabi airport as Kirkstall Road was flooded, where his print business had been based for over 50 years.
18 months later the property is at 80 per cent occupancy and is now home to a wide range of businesses including IT services, lawyers, accountants and advertising agencies.
