Law student crashes into traffic lights

A student has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance.

The 22-year-old student crashed into traffic lights during a police chase.

The incident took place in December last year, where police spotted Kamran Khan speeding on Hollingwood Lane, Bradford at about 2:40am.

Bradford Crown Court heard how Khan lost control and hit a traffic light post, on the junction of Thornton Road.

He told police officers: “I just panicked, I’m sorry, I don’t have a licence.”

Khan, of Washington Street, Girlington, Bradford, has been ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work and imposed a 12-month driving ban.
