The RSPCA has launched an appeal after two horses were dumped in Leeds.
The colts were found on land near Morley in poor condition on Sunday 20 January. One of the horses was taken to a vet for emergency care but had to be put down.
The surviving horse is currently in RSPCA care at a private boarding establishment.
A spokesperson from the charity said cases of horses being abandoned to die “is upsettingly very common and it’s a massive issue”.
