A suspected gun was found in a wooded area in a Leeds suburb.
Police have confirmed they were called to Batcliffe Wood in the Ash Road area of Headingley on Monday evening (19 February).
It is believed a member of the public found what appeared to be a handgun.
A scene was put in place and the object was sent for examination to determine whether it is a genuine firearm.
