A girl who was starved of oxygen at birth has been awarded £8 million from Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The 12-year-old was left with brain damage resulting in cerebral palsy.
The family’s lawyer said the settlement comes at the end of 12-year legal battle, and only came to an end after the legal team was able to procure a transcript of a conversation between the girl’s mother and the ambulance crew on the night she was admitted in labour.
The lawyer said the money will be used to provide lifetime care for the teenager.
