Police investigating the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Hulme have made two further arrests.
The teenager was attacked at around 7.20pm on Wednesday 31 October on Lingmoor Walk.
He was taken to hospital and received treatment to stab wounds to his upper body and legs, and is still recovering in hospital.
Greater Manchester Police have arrested two 18-year-old men on suspicion of attempted murder.
Another 18-year-old man, who was arrested on Thursday 1 November, has since been released on police bail.
Detective Inspector Mark Astbury from GMP’s City of Manchester team said: “Our officers have trawled CCTV in the area and have been going house-to-house to try and find any information about this ferocious stabbing.
“Following these enquiries we have been able to make two further arrests which will hopefully further help us piece together the puzzle of what happened.
“Thankfully the victim will recover from his injuries, but it is incredible that he was not more seriously injured.
“I would like to thank the community for their help with this investigation so far, our enquiries are continuing and we would still like to hear from anyone who knows what happened.”
