A 62 year old man from Rutland, - Steven Blackburn, of Oakham - is due to appear before Wakefield Magistrates (Friday 29 January) charged with the rape of woman, then aged 27, in Bradford in 1981 and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was arrested on Wednesday by officers from West Yorkshire Police's Cold Case Review Team.
