Police Crime Commissioner For West Yorkshire Confirmed As Mark Burns-Williamson

Mark Burns-Williamson OBE has been elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner with the vote going to the second round with no conclusive candidate in the first stage.

Labour's and the incumbent West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson (pictured signing the official oath)  narrowly missed winning outright with 49.7% of the vote leaving him to slug it out with the Conservative Candidate Alan Doherty who also made it through to the second stage. A nail biting wait whilst the second votes from across the region were collated with Mark Burns-Williamson finally announced as the winner at around 8.45pm.
