Police in Bolton are investigating the death of a dog that was killed in a hit-and-run.
A dark coloured hatchback collided with a pedestrian and his dog at the junction of Rawson Street and Moss Street in Farnworth at around 5.45pm on Thursday 29 November.
The motorist initially stopped, then sped away from the scene.
The dog owner was left with minor injuries, but the 10-year-old pet didn't survive.
The driver was described as a black male, of stocky build, aged between 25 and 35-years-old.
