Police are appealing for information after thieves pick-pocketed a 68-year-old woman outside the Halifax Bank on Market Street in Huddersfield.
The victim was approached by a man and a woman outside the bank at around 9.50am on Monday 7 March. The man asked her for directions and after the pair had gone, the victim realised that the money she had just withdrawn from the bank had been stolen from her handbag.
Officers are hoping to speak to the man and woman (pictured in the photos) as they believe they may have some information in relation to this incident. The suspects are both described as being in their 30s with dark hair. The man spoke with broken English.
PC Loran, of Huddersfield District Police, said:
"This was a dreadful incident where suspects stole money from a pensioner causing a great deal of distress. A similar incident happened on 1 March, when thieves pick-pocketed an 82-year-old man at Huddersfield bus station. It is possible that the suspects are the same and we need to identify these people before they carry out any further offences."
