A paedophile has appeared before court after being caught by a vigilante outside a superstore in Shipley.
Thomas Low, 24, formerly of Wrose, thought he was meeting a 14-year-old boy called Ben for sexual activity when he was confronted by a so-called paedophile hunter.
Bradford Crown Court heard the online vigilante made a citizen’s arrest in front of a cheering crowd outside of an Asda.
Low pleaded guilty to intentionally attempting to communicate with a boy aged 14 with a view to inciting him to engage in sexual activity.
He was made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and must sign on the sex offender register for the same period.
