A Bradford doctor is developing make-up that could protect the wearer from acid attacks.
Dr Almas Ahmed, from Manningham, has been formulating the idea ever since hearing about campaigner Katie Piper. Katie survived an acid attack in 2008 and her attacker, Stefan Sylvestre, was recently released from prison after serving nine years in jail.
Dr Ahmed says the product she is developing is both heat-proof and acid-proof.
The product is currently being tested in India before seeking approval in the UK through the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
