The bells of Bradford Cathedral are to be restored with a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
£79,100 was awarded to the cathedral to repair 12 First World War memorial bells. It is believed the cash will also be used to improve accessibility to the bell tower and to train volunteer bell ringers, hopefully increasing the amount the bells can be rung.
The cathedral plans to host a number of events and exhibitions to tell the story of the bells, with the grant also funding interactive activities and a comprehensive information booklet.
