Police were called to Dobson Lock in Apperley Bridge at about 9.12pm yesterday after receiving a report of a body in the canal.
Emergency services attended and recovered the body of a man from the water.
The man was believed to be in his fifties and there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
The family of missing Bradford man Derrick Fisher have been informed and a file has been prepared for the Coroner.
